Meeting a patient for a custom dental crown

With Custom Dental Crowns

If you’ve accidentally broken a tooth or are feeling pain from a weakened one, you shouldn't have to wait weeks for a solution. While many dental offices require a long waiting period for lab work, we’ve streamlined our process to offer custom dental crowns in just 3 to 4 days. This means you’ll be able to return just a few days later for a permanent restoration.

Why a Crown Might Be What You Need

Crowns are all about protecting your smile and restoring the durability of your bite. If one of your teeth has been weakened, a dental crown acts as a protective cap to hold it together so you can chew, speak, and smile without worry.

You might need a crown if your tooth is:

  • Cracked or fractured from an injury
  • Weakened after a root canal
  • Breaking down around an old, large filling
  • Worn down from years of grinding or heavy use
Built to Last and Made to Blend In

Dental restorations, whether a crown or an entire implant, need to hold up under pressure. Whether you're biting into lunch, a senior who wants to keep eating the foods you love, or you just need your tooth to work as it should again, our crowns will give you back the strength that almost exactly mimics that of a natural tooth. And because we use high-quality ceramic materials, your crown will look natural and blend in with your other teeth. Function comes first, but you'll appreciate that it doesn't look or feel like dental work!

Our Streamlined Process

We know your time matters. We’re able to design, create, and place your final crown in just a few days, which cuts your waiting time in half!

Step 1: We prepare your tooth and take digital impressions.

We begin by numbing the area to keep you comfortable. Then, if needed, we will gently refine your tooth to ensure the best fit for your crown. After, we use a digital scanner to take a precise 3D impression. This allows us to capture accurate measurements without traditional impression trays.

Step 2: We design your custom crown.

Using the digital impression, we work closely with our dental lab to design a crown that fits your tooth perfectly and matches your bite.

Step 3: We create your custom crown.

We will create your crown from a solid block of durable, tooth-colored ceramic that can handle the everyday wear of chewing, talking, and living life.

Step 4: We place and finalize your crown.

Just 3 to 4 days later, you’ll return for a short visit. We fit, adjust, and bond your final crown securely. You’re ready to go!

Why Choose Foothill Family Dental Group?

We've been part of this community since 2012, and we saw too many of our neighbors and friends struggling with temporary crowns for weeks on end. We want to help you get back to your normal life as quickly as possible, without compromising the quality of your care. That's the kind of dentistry we grew up believing in, and it's the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

The Team That Will Take Care of You

Your crown will be handled by Dr. Mariam Arnouk or Dr. Yara Arnouk, the next generation of care at Foothill Family Dental Group. Growing up in their parents' practice here in Glendora, they learned early on that good dentistry isn't just about technical skill. It's about treating people the way you'd want your own family treated.

Whether you're coming in for an emergency repair or a planned restoration, we'll take the time to explain what's happening, answer your questions, and make sure you feel good about the plan. That's how we were raised, and that's how we practice.

We Work with Your Insurance and Budget

We go the extra mile to work with your insurance provider and keep costs manageable. We accept most insurances and can verify your benefits before your appointment, so there are no surprises. If you don’t have insurance, we also offer flexible payment plans and work with trusted financing partners so you can get the treatment you need without additional stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the process take?

Cross Icon Image

Typically, the entire process, from your first scan to the final placement, takes only 3 to 4 days. This is much faster than the traditional 2-week wait time at most offices.

Does getting a dental crown hurt?

Dentistry is associated with enough discomfort, and you don’t need more. For this procedure, we will completely numb the area before we start, so you shouldn't feel any pain. You may have some mild sensitivity afterward, but it typically goes away within a few days.

Can I eat normally after my final appointment?

Once the numbness wears off, you’ll be set to eat and drink normally. We recommend avoiding very hard or sticky foods for the first 24 hours, but after that, your crown will be able to handle your regular diet (or your new, post-restoration diet).

Getting You Back to Normal, As Quickly As Possible

If you have a broken, cracked, or weakened tooth, don't wait to get in touch. The sooner we can protect it with a crown, the better your chances of saving the tooth and avoiding more complicated and more expensive treatment down the road.
